Taking Flight

Taking Flight

If you love imagination and imagining things well you’ll love this short film ‘Taking Flight.’

This imaginative story is about a grandpa, dad and son. How it all starts is the son has been dropped off at his grandpa’s and sees a photo of his dad in a wagon with his grandpa standing behind it, and he wants to get a closer look so he makes a tower to try get the photo. The tower falls they find the wagon and the grandpa takes him on a magical journey of imagination of escaped zoo monkeys, space and something else. Then the dad comes, sees the wagon then the dad, grandpa, kid and teddy go on a space journey.

Overall the film is short (hints the name) but it has a meaning a good meaning. The meaning is imagination has no barrier just say age barrier punches it in the face. So I would rate it a 7/10 and an age limit of all ages.

Dear Mr Peters

20-10-17
Dear Mr Peters

Dear Mr Peters, I am writing to you to recommend that you choose a coalition with Labour because they are putting money into education. To help us kids have a brighter future and be successful with a higher education that’s possible!

Clean Rivers

Labour are putting money towards cleaning all the rivers in NZ so it’s a more healthy environment for us and our water friends to swim in. Also fishing would be so much easier not getting a piece of junk caught to your hook then having to get a new one.

National

So National are lowering tax prices so they can “put more money in your pocket,” well actually they’re putting less money in your pocket because lowering tax prices will give less money to the government and then they have less money to pay to the people then they have less money to pay to the government so it’s kinda a giant loophole.

Child Care

Labour are extending the amount of time you get paid for having a child to spend on stuff like baby clothes, baby food, cot, mattress for the cot and other baby stuff to care for your child.

So there’s not really much I can say at this point. I mean it’s pretty obvious at this point Labour is the right party to choose. So Mr Peters I hope you go with the right party and join Labour.

26-6-17
How To Teleport

L.G. Use precise verbs.
S.O.S -Haven’t used get,grab or put.
-Include Humor.
Have you ever wanted to teleport? Well I don’t really know but I have an idea of how to!

Materials

. Giant vacuum cleaner (x2)

. Place to teleport to

.Button

.Wires

1.Set up a room for the teleporting.

2.Place the button

3.Make a giant hole for the vacuum cleaner to suck you up

4.Make a hole on the tops of both and attach them.

5.Attach some wires to the vacuums.

6.Attach the button to the wires.

7.Add a secret password (that won’t do anything)
But add it for fun make it a song (Hakuna Matata) it will do nothing but it makes it better. (Some How!)
So now you know how to teleport (maybe) I don’t know if it will work or not! But I am not responsible for any injuries, deaths or anything else that may occur or happen! It’s your fault for reading this anyways.

Callie thanks for coming to wilkies pools and looking after all the kids. We all respect you giving up your time to come and help with camp and coming on the walk there and back. I enjoyed the walk too Callie. Do you remember how cold the water was? Once again thanks for helping.

From Max

Dear Callie

Character Trait Story
Learning Goal: To describe a character trait in my writing.
SOS: using adjectives to describe the characters thoughts and feelings.

Simon-character trait Honest.
Simons honesty gets the best of him  times because he can’t lie at the worst of times he owns up to everything bad he does. One time he was kicking a ball around with his friends and his friend accidently hit the window and broke it so Simon took the blame. After owning up to his friends mistake his honesty got the best of him and he told the teacher the truth and he got his friend in trouble but he felt much better.

Chameleon
Monday 12th October 2015

L.G. To use precise language to inform our audience.
S.C. -include facts and examples on the topic from key words.
  • adjectives appropriate to the topic.
  • use precise words i.e. nouns to discuss what the animal is.
A chameleon is a unique animal because they are the only animal that can change colour.

Some chameleon species are able to change their skin colouration. Different chameleon species are able to vary their colouration and pattern through combinations of pink, blue, red, orange, green, black, brown, light blue, yellow, turquoise and purple.
Chameleons generally eat insects, but larger species, such as the common chameleon, may also take other lizards and young birds.

Chameleons are primarily found in the mainland of sub-Saharan Africa and on the island of Madagascar, although a few species are also found in northern Africa, India and southern Europe.

I think chameleons are interesting because they change colour to blend in with their environment.
